A William Charles Company

Recycling: Working for a Greener Environment.

RecyclingAlthough recycling cans, paper, glass bottles, and plastic containers we collect at home for curbside pickup is a good start, it’s only the tip of the iceberg. In order to help reverse many of the trends we’ve established as consumers – both at home and industry – we must be consistently vigilant for opportunities to recycle everywhere. Better habits can save energy, resources, and money too. At William Charles Environmental Services, we are taking our corporate initiative for internal recycling to every niche of our company as well as to our customers.

We offer our customers:

Universal Waste/e-Waste: Recyling of batteries, bulbs, ballasts, and CRTs/electronic scrap.

Propane: Propane recycling center for removing and collecting propane gas from small and medium-sized discarded propane cylinders.

Oil/Fuel Oil/Coolant: Equipment and resources for refining and/or recycling of oil or coolant waste stream.

Please call 815.654.4726 should you need more information on finding alternative handling methods for your company’s oils, solvents, fuel oils, propane gas, and other waste streams.

DID YOU KNOW?

According to the USEPA, nearly everything we do leaves behind some kind of waste. In fact, in 2006, U.S. residents, businesses, and institutions produced more than 251 million tons of municipal solid waste, which is approximately 4.6 pounds of waste per person per day. In addition, American industrial facilities generate and dispose of approximately 7.6 billion tons of industrial solid waste each year.
